Menzies Aviation Kft. is the Hungarian subsidiary of Menzies Aviation, operating at Budapest Liszt Ferenc International Airport. Since joining forces with Airport Service Budapest Zrt. in 2025, it now provides a full suite of ground handling, cargo logistics, passenger and ramp services, aircraft cleaning, de-icing, security, lounge operations, and airside transport under the global Menzies brand.
With more than 1,000 employees, the company supports over 2,500 flights and handles more than 12,000 tons of cargo each month at BUD. They have been recognized for their environmental leadership, earning Budapest Airport’s “GreenAirport Partner of the Year” award in 2024 for innovations including fully electric ground support equipment, reducing carbon emissions by up to 80% per aircraft turn.
Founded in 2006 and led by Miguel Gomez Sjunnesson, Menzies Aviation Hungary is committed to sustainability with a global target of net-zero emissions by 2045. Their ongoing investments include an expanded Cargo City facility and increasing electric vehicle deployment to reduce reliance on diesel-powered equipment.
